Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup operations
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision (concrete mixers, jackhammers, etc.)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), digging, and scaffolding
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Experience with power tools preferred but not required
