Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with project tasks
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing tools, and removing debris
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Operate basic machinery like jackhammers, saws, and drills under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance
- Read blueprints and verbal instructions to execute tasks accurately
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and site inspections
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions (heat, rain, dust)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong teamwork ethic and communication abilities
- Commitment to punctuality and professional conduct
- Preferable: OSHA 10-hour construction certification (training provided)
