Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Follow safety protocols and maintain organized job site conditions
- Load/unload materials and transport supplies as directed by supervisors
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and project specifications
- Perform physical tasks in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
- Participate in team-based construction projects across Austin
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Austin
