Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools safely (hammers, shovels, saws) under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety compliance
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to OSHA guidelines
- Support various construction phases including framing, roofing, and finishing
- Participate in daily team briefings and safety meetings
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of English communication (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across El Paso County
- Positive attitude and commitment to workplace safety
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
