Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Safely operate basic hand tools and power equipment under supervision
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials at job sites
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Read and interpret simple instructions and blueprints
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic math skills for measurements and material counts
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
