Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Prepare work areas by gathering necessary tools, materials, and equipment prior to the start of each job.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to company cleanliness standards.
- Document work performed accurately and report any material shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- No prior experience required; however, a strong willingness to learn and a mechanical aptitude are highly preferred.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
