Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist senior electricians with troubleshooting electrical faults and system diagnostics
- Document work performed and maintain accurate project records
- Participate in ongoing safety training and skill development workshops
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and construction principles
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various physical environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by industry standards
- NYC electrician trainee license or ability to obtain within 90 days
