Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic testing to identify electrical faults
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards
- Collaborate with senior electricians on complex projects and system upgrades
- Assist in preparing work areas and cleaning up after job completion
- Document work performed and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools (wiring, circuits, conduit)
- Valid North Carolina electrical apprentice license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments (climbing, confined spaces)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Willingness to submit to background check and drug screening
