Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical specifications
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and NYC building regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Assist senior electricians with complex projects while maintaining safety standards
- Document work performed and maintain accurate project records
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Willingness to obtain required NYC electrician licensing within 6 months
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass background check and drug screening
