Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior team members with electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and residential sites.
- Learn & Apply Codes: Gain hands-on experience with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by organizing materials, laying out wire paths, and installing basic conduit.
- Tool Management: Maintain, organize, and transport electrical tools and equipment safely.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure work environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Develop skills in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients to provide updates on project status with guidance.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic proficiency in arithmetic and measurements is preferred.
- Character: Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
