Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, terminate conduit, and install outlets and fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and local electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tool organization.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as directed.
- Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required; however, a strong desire to learn is essential.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights (climbing ladders), confined spaces, and outdoors.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
