Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Learn to read electrical drawings and schematics to understand wiring layouts and circuit requirements.
- Perform Basic Wiring: Help with pulling wire, stripping insulation, making connections, and installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Use Hand and Power Tools: Safely operate drills, saws, testers, and other electrical tools under supervision.
- Maintain Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by moving materials, organizing tools, and clearing work areas.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Coursework in vocational trades is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are looking for candidates eager to learn the trade from the ground up.
- Driver's License: A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record are required (for site travel).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of arithmetic and measurements is helpful.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
