Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Perform basic electrical tasks such as mounting outlets, switches, and light fixtures, as well as helping with conduit bending and wire pulling.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Material Management: Help organize and manage job site materials, tools, and equipment to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin learning to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to understand circuit layouts and installation requirements.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Assist in the testing of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot basic wiring issues.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Driver's License: A valid, clean driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for measuring and calculating material needs.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior experience is required; we are looking for candidates eager to grow in the trade.
