Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations, including wiring, lighting, and power outlets.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Install and maintain low-voltage systems, such as security cameras, data cabling, and smart home technology.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and company safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper handling and storage of tools and materials.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients regarding progress and any potential issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided for the right candidates.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as project demands require.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills.
