Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to plan installations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical panels, circuits, and fixtures.
- Install wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and control devices according to safety codes.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Document work completed accurately and maintain accurate time records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school background is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and willingness to undergo hands-on training.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and fundamental math skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and committed to safety.
