Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Follow strict safety protocols and comply with National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Assist senior electricians with troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
- Document work orders and maintain accurate project records
- Participate in ongoing skills training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (climbing, kneeling, lifting)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
- Willingness to attend paid apprenticeship training (40 hours/week)
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Albuquerque
- No prior electrical experience required – training provided
