Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Support journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Read Technical Drawings: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements accurately.
- Perform Basic Wiring: Install conduits, wire outlets, switches, and fixtures while adhering to strict safety and code regulations.
- Site Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional service to clients, answering questions professionally and representing the company with integrity.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company trucks are clean, fueled, and equipped with necessary tools before daily start times.
Qualifications
- License Status: Must hold a valid Driver’s License; Journeyman or Apprentice license is preferred but not strictly required for this entry-level role.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong desire to learn the electrical trade.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; technical school training is a plus.
- Background: Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
