Responsibilities
- Assist master plumbers with residential and commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Learn and apply plumbing codes, safety protocols, and best practices under supervision
- Operate and maintain plumbing tools, equipment, and materials safely
- Diagnose basic plumbing issues and communicate findings to senior team members
- Perform pipe fitting, fixture installation, and system troubleshooting
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and service vehicles
- Complete paperwork and documentation for service calls accurately
- Participate in ongoing skills training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Metro Detroit
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
