Responsibilities
- Learn the Trade: Observe and assist senior plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, drains, and fixtures.
- Tool Usage: Learn to identify, use, and maintain basic plumbing tools and equipment safely.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and provide updates on job progress.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials, moving debris, and ensuring a clean work environment.
- Emergency Response: Assist in responding to after-hours emergency calls and prioritizing urgent repairs.
- Documentation: Help complete necessary paperwork and job reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required to travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Problem-Solving: Basic ability to troubleshoot simple mechanical issues and a willingness to learn complex systems.
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and dedicated to maintaining a professional appearance.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school is a plus but not required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to work well within a team.
