Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Locate and repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues using hand and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on pipes, valves, and fixtures.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems and proposed solutions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions (knees, hands, and back must be in good condition).
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
