Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with pipe fitting, fixture installation, and repair tasks
- Learn and apply plumbing safety protocols and building codes
- Perform drain cleaning, pipe inspection, and basic maintenance work
- Use hand/power tools effectively under supervision
- Maintain clean job sites and organize equipment
- Document work progress and material usage
- Participate in weekend emergency call rotations (paid overtime)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Detroit
- Willingness to complete state-mandated apprenticeship hours
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Punctual, safety-conscious, and team-oriented mindset
