Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with residential and commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Perform drain cleaning, pipe fitting, fixture repair, and water heater services
- Use diagnostic tools to identify plumbing issues and propose solutions
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety protocols
- Complete service reports and document work performed
- Participate in apprenticeship training programs to develop technical skills
- Respond to emergency calls after hours on rotational basis
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate heights
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain Illinois plumbing license within 6 months
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicago metro area
- No felony convictions (required for plumbing license eligibility)
