Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete for foundations and structures
- Install and remove scaffolding, temporary structures, and formwork
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and basic tasks
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work areas
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Drug-free workplace - pre-employment screening required
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
