Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and equipment operation
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) on residential/commercial projects
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery safely
- Inspect and maintain construction sites for hazards and compliance
- Assist in blueprint interpretation and project documentation
- Support sustainable building practices and waste reduction initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verified construction labor experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
