Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment operation on active construction sites
- Execute site preparation, trenching, and excavation tasks with precision
- Utilize power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and hand tools effectively
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) seamlessly
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and manage job site debris
- Read blueprints and interpret technical specifications accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of concrete pouring, framing, and demolition
- Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Local New Orleans area residency preferred
