Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and marking excavation areas
- Load/unload construction materials using forklifts, cranes, and manual handling techniques
- Assist carpenters, masons, and welders with material preparation and tool management
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Maintain project cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols at all times
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience required
- Valid O-10 card and current HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow precise instructions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be available for early morning starts and occasional overtime
