Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Operate and maintain power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment safely
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and job site cleanliness standards
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material prep and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately
- Participate in daily team briefings and contribute to project timelines
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Long Beach area
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for absenteeism
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
