Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and hazardous waste disposal
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and safety protocols
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures
- Report safety hazards and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Dallas County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
