Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors to execute construction tasks
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material setup and support
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checks and report hazards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction or labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for material measurement and task coordination
