Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Illinois state regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors and clients
- Maintain detailed work records and complete required documentation
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean worksite
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master preferred)
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to work in various environments and lift up to 50 lbs
