Responsibilities
- Excavate, prepare, and clean construction sites to specifications
- Load/unload materials, operate hand tools (shovels, saws, drills), and power equipment
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with layout and assembly tasks
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Complete daily timecards and equipment maintenance logs
- Support stormwater management and erosion control measures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid O-10 or O-11 Florida certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Tampa metro area
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
- Must possess own basic hand tools
