Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, site preparation, and concrete pouring tasks with precision
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, forklifts) following OSHA protocols
- Install and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Assist carpenters, masons, and specialized trades as project requirements dictate
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and waste management procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor or site experience
- Valid O-10 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class B CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong understanding of construction blueprints and site plans
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Nashville metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
