Responsibilities

- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to pioneer breakthrough technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify disruptive trends in AI, blockchain, and biotech
- Drive ethical technology frameworks ensuring responsible development of autonomous systems
- Secure $50M+ annual R&D budget through compelling investor pitches and ROI modeling
- Mentor innovation teams in agile methodologies and rapid prototyping for emerging tech domains
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in emerging technologies or R&D management
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products in quantum computing or AI domains
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- Expertise in technology forecasting and scenario planning for 2030+ horizons
- Strong background in securing federal/state innovation grants and corporate R&D partnerships
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed tech journals
