Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap for emerging domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Lead R&D initiatives for next-gen prototypes with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Collaborate with C-suite to align technological innovations with business objectives
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget across 8+ concurrent projects
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of 12+ specialists
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present findings to stakeholders through compelling data-driven narratives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in strategic planning roles
- Proven track record delivering breakthrough technologies with commercial impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong project management skills with PMP or equivalent certification
- Experience scaling teams from 10 to 50+ professionals
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major industry conferences
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
