Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technological roadmaps aligning with market evolution and regulatory shifts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech integration
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Design governance frameworks for emerging tech adoption including metaverse and neural interfaces
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on future tech implications
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurism
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy with Fortune 500 companies
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on exponential technologies
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and predictive analytics platforms
- Certification in Emerging Technology Governance (ETG) or equivalent
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized systems
- Proven track record of leading tech transformation projects valued >$50M
