Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across global innovation ecosystems
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive market shifts
- Lead stakeholder workshops to align leadership on future-state visions
- Produce thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) positioning Horizon Labs as a futurist authority
- Manage a portfolio of innovation incubation projects targeting 2026 commercialization
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented innovation strategies
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFIF, SFI) preferred
