Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology foresight framework using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings for executive leadership on disruptive technologies and societal megatrends
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align organizational strategy with future market opportunities
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and innovation labs to access cutting-edge research
- Create and maintain a 'Future Radar' dashboard tracking 200+ emerging indicators across 15 sectors
- Develop risk mitigation protocols for existential threats and black swan events
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
- Represent the company at global future-focused conferences and summits
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role
- Published thought leadership on future trends in top-tier journals (e.g., Future Studies Quarterly)
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., STEEP-V, Delphi technique)
- Proficiency in AI-driven trend analysis tools and data visualization platforms
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, neurotech, and climate engineering
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic implementation of future forecasts
