Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Perform basic tasks such as unclogging drains, fixing minor leaks, and installing basic fixtures like faucets and toilets.
- Ensure all work is completed in strict accordance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper organization of tools and materials.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on project timelines.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently from service vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of time worked and materials used.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in tight spaces or various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring lengths and calculating material estimates.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the New York area.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong desire to learn a skilled trade and a commitment to punctuality.
