Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and job site regulations
- Assist skilled tradesmen with carpentry, masonry, and plumbing tasks
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout project phases
- Participate in daily team briefings and progress updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verifiable construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Willingness to travel between DC and Georgia job sites
