Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial properties
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams for precise electrical configurations
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Oregon state regulations
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using advanced testing equipment
- Supervise apprentices and junior electricians on complex projects
- Perform system upgrades and energy-efficient retrofits
- Conduct thorough safety inspections and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Valid Oregon Journeyman Electrician license required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools: multimeters, amp probes, and circuit tracers
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and local building regulations
- Ability to read complex electrical schematics and blueprints
- Emergency response experience during outages or system failures
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
