Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Supervise apprentices and junior electricians on complex projects
- Perform system upgrades for energy efficiency and code compliance
- Document work orders, maintenance logs, and safety reports
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license for District of Columbia
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Expertise in conduit bending, wiring, and circuit installation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or equivalent safety training
- Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Flexibility for on-call emergency services and overtime
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
