Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Supervise apprentice electricians and coordinate project timelines
- Document work orders, maintain equipment, and uphold safety protocols
- Collaborate with contractors, clients, and team leads for seamless project execution
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- Minimum 4 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong understanding of NEC, Chicago Building Codes, and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
