Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in commercial and residential buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installations.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution systems.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
