Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and control circuits
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Chicago municipal regulations
- Perform system diagnostics and repairs with minimal downtime
- Lead apprentice electricians and coordinate team projects
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage material inventory and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proficiency with conduit bending, termination, and power distribution systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC and Chicago building codes
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
