Responsibilities
- Install and Maintain Systems: Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial and residential settings.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate project execution.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes (NEC) and company safety protocols.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Client Communication: Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors, providing updates and explaining technical details clearly.
- Equipment Management: Properly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid New York State Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Tools: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including multimeters and voltage testers.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
