Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and code-compliant wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematic drawings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on electrical equipment.
- Assist in mentoring apprentices and junior electricians on the job site.
- Complete job logs and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in New York State.
- Minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience in commercial/residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.
- Current Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
