Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ensure that all work complies with local and national electrical codes, specifically NYC Electrical Code.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide excellent customer service and explain technical issues to clients clearly.
Qualifications
- Certified New York State Journeyman Electrician License.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of verifiable work experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage detectors, etc.).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
