Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute projects accurately.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and team members to meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical details clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license required (District of Columbia).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong proficiency in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Deep knowledge of electrical safety standards, OSHA regulations, and the National Electrical Code.
- Reliable personal transportation and a fully stocked personal tool belt.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
