Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Accurately identify and resolve complex plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and pressure problems, using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.
- Installation: Perform professional installation of new plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, and piping (PEX, copper, and PVC).
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan pipe layouts and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, explaining repairs clearly and ensuring a clean worksite upon completion.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressure.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and local building codes to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Journeyman Plumber license required for the District of Columbia and Virginia.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Tools: Own and maintain a fully stocked personal tool belt.
- Driver's License: Valid, current driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Skills: Proficiency in soldering, threading, pipefitting, and reading blueprints.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
