Responsibilities
- Strategic Orchestration: Develop and execute the comprehensive operational roadmap for the 2026 World Cup venue in New York, ensuring alignment with FIFA and US Soccer Federation standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between international governing bodies, government officials, and local vendors to facilitate smooth communication.
- Financial Oversight: Manage multi-million dollar budgets, conducting rigorous cost-benefit analyses and ensuring fiscal responsibility across all departments.
- Crisis Management: Design and implement robust contingency plans for potential risks, ranging from logistical bottlenecks to security threats, ensuring public safety is paramount.
- Legacy Planning: Spearhead community engagement initiatives and infrastructure projects that ensure lasting economic and social benefits for the host city post-event.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a cross-functional team of logistics, security, and hospitality experts, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the deployment of cutting-edge event management software and data analytics to optimize crowd control and fan experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale event management, sports administration, or international logistics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CEM (Certified Exhibition Manager) certification is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively at the executive level.
- Global Perspective: Proven track record of working within international borders and navigating diverse cultural landscapes.
